CJ Cronin Mentorship Program Application

The CJ Cronin Mentorship Program, an initiative of the MJK Foundation, was created in honor of CJ’s life and legacy – and in response to a growing need for stronger, earlier mental health support for young people, especially within student-athlete communities.

This program exists because connection saves lives.

We believe student-athletes deserve more than performance coaching. They deserve trusted mentors who model emotional strength, integrity, accountability, and healthy leadership. They deserve someone close enough in age to relate – yet grounded enough to guide.

This is not just an internship. It is a leadership commitment and a responsibility.

As a CJ Cronin Mentorship Intern, you will serve as a near-peer leader within high school athletic communities – offering encouragement, perspective, and presence while operating within a structured, supervised framework. Interns receive intentional training, ongoing supervision, and professional development, while representing the MJK Foundation with maturity, professionalism, and care.

Because of the level of responsibility and influence this role carries, our selection process is intentional and selective. We are seeking emotionally intelligent, self-aware, coachable, and dependable college students who are passionate about mentorship, mental wellness, and making a meaningful impact. We are looking for leaders aligned with our mission to strengthen youth mental health through education, connection, and meaningful action.

If you feel called to grow as a leader, serve with heart, and make a tangible difference in the lives of young athletes – we invite you to apply.
